$AMRN Amarin Exceeds Expectations in Pivotal Study, Expedites Projected FDA Filing

Amarin (NASDAQ:AMRN) not only met its primary efficacy endpoints with a clean safety profile for both 4 gram and 2 gram doses of AMR101 in the pivotal MARINE study of patients with very high triglycerides (TG) this morning, but reported that its potential best-in-class, prescription-grade omega-3 fatty acid did not raise bad cholesterol (LDL-C) which is a key limiting factor in expanding the use of LOVAZA.
