BioRunUp Alerts

It occurred to me today that I have not created a method of notifying my subscribers of important events that may elicit their immediate attention.  Currently the email subscription system is sent up to send an email early in the morning, the day AFTER an article is posted.  For breaking news on an FDA play, this will not be enough time to act quickly.  I understand that not all traders can be in front of their trading account, Bloomberg TV, or Twitter at all times.

Because of this I am creating a “BioRunUp Alerts” email system.  In no way will you be send stock pumping garbage or fake “alerts” on fast moving shady penny stocks like what BioMedReports charges $250 a year for.  What kind of news would warrant an alert? Thinking back over the past few months I would have likely emailed out an alert for the following events:

  • VVUS Panel Notes Released 7/13/10
  • VVUS FDA Advisory Decision 7/15/10
  • MELA FDA Panel Delay 7/21/10
  • JAZZ FDA Advisory Decision 8/20/10
  • CPIX FDA PDUFA Delay 8/20/10
  • EPCT Receives Refusal to File Letter 8/23/10

I am not always at my computer, but if I am and a major event occurs involving a major FDA catalyst play, I will send out a simple alert.  If this is something you would like to opt out of, please send me an email to comments@biorunup.com , or click on the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of the email alert which you have received.  If you are not already subscribed to my email list, click in the box on the upper right of this page, enter in your email address, and click subscribe.

Again- these emails will be rare and only for major biotech catalyst events which will immediately and drastically affecting share price. Sign up below:

You can also have people sign up for mobile alerts on twitter. The alert will text to their phone immediately. Just create a special twitter account with an approval only from you.j

Sure, my first post and I get beat to the texting idea! Not a pretty start thats alright, I finish strong after the last deviation.

Texting is truly the answer to the problem bugging you, as Bob said. The problem is still with the e-mail process and being able to check it timely enough.
If you have a program that alerts you to e-mails when they arrive from a specific sender ( not at all difficult to find, even Windows Live has one I believe), that is a far second from a text msg.

Hell, my local mom and pop luncheonette has a sign up saying text your info to a special # and win a $25 gift certificate. Do you realize how much corn beef hash you have slash for $25 in a small place like that. Point being, it can be done, not costly, is timely and very much the ‘standard’ in quick info lately.
I can’t speak for others, but I get texts all day, regarding stock info, prices up or down, their volume changes, % changes etc., news, e-mail alerts, basically pretty much anything you want to be notified very quickly.
This is probably one of those ‘we know all this already newbie’ posts. I am but a 2nd place runner up? Everyone knows in 1980, the US won the Gold Medal in Ice Hockey at the Olympics, but who finished second? Exactly. It’s all you BOB. You are ‘the one’
You took the correct pill, you were standing when the last bell rang in the 15th you, yes you pulled off the first ‘Iron Lotus’ without losing your head.

    Text me what u think….?
